Coleychelle farm offers short and long term agistment for all horses, as well as spelling, breaking in and pre training for thoroughbreds.

Spelling

Our spelling paddocks are post with cattle rail, all with safe flexi wire and some with diamond mesh. The spelling paddocks are as safe as possible, they have spacious shelters and plenty of fresh water with pasture. Horses are fed 2 – 3 times per day with hard feed including supplements and hay. They are rugged and are checked 4 times daily. We offer farrier and chiropractic/massage services as well. Each horse has a diet tailored to his specific needs, each horse is catered for individually. We have many options of paddocks so when inquiring please ask us about what option you would like and pricing.

Rehabilitation

We also care for horse recovering after operations working in with vets and Kennallywood Equine rehab centre. Ali is trained in Bowen therapy, shiatsu and acupressure. We have a on farm Equissage as well.

Foaling Out

Every life is valuable, and that it why our staff are so dedicated to ensuring that all mares and foals receive the full care needed. Your horse will have the best possible start foaling out at Coleychelle Farm, our staff have decades of knowledge when it comes to horse breeding.  We have floodlit mesh paddocks for mares to foal as well as Extra Large mare and foal boxes in the barn. Foaling alarms are used and there is always colostrum and plasma on hand. We work with our vets that are on call and mares a monitored constantly. Nutrition is a major part of your foals life, that is why mares are fed on Formulated feed that will give them quality milk and help your foal grow at the appropriate rate.

Breeding

Coleychelle Farm offers a great breeding facility, with the vet shed containing 4 mare crushes. We have the ability to collect semen and scan mares regularly. We offer a Embryo Transfer program and run a heard of around 40 recipient mares.

All horses on the property are on a strict worming regime and feet are trimmed/ shod 4 – 6 weeks depending on the horse.

Training/Performance

From 10hh – 18hh we can accommodate your horse for education and performance. We have a large team of show horses that compete most weekends. We show most breeds of horses specialising in: riding ponies, stock horses, thoroughbreds, welsh ponies, warmbloods etc. Many clients send their horses to us to be performed or started undersaddle and get lessons here along the way.
