HISTORY
Coleychelle Farm was once a cattle farm by the name of “Fraelen”. The Milners purchased it in 2004 with the intention to change a few things to make it a viable location to house a few race horses and maybe breed some foals.
Once they started planning, they realized that to do the job properly, it had to either be a much larger project than initially thought or they shouldn’t bother.
Firstly, the fencing had to be realigned, replaced and redesigned. A contractor was hired to build the fences while Wayne and his occasional helpers painted the 10km of fences black with a paint sourced for its long term staying power and safety for the horses.

Then, water accessibility and distribution had to be reworked. The farm had a dam on it with a bore when first purchased. It was established that two more dams would be required to try to capture that elusive rain.
The horses would need shelter in the form of day yards, stables and paddock shelters.
An excellent vet and vet shed would also be required to care for the precious investments.
The racing and breeding horses required a safe and effective exercise facility and the foals would need a place to be broken in. A 975 metre training track was built on the property and a specialized walking machine was sourced from New Zealand.
